1. Controller

For personal data processed for our own business purposes, the controller is SEOMER Ltd, operating Backlink Monitors. Contact details are listed below.

2. Data we collect

We may collect account details, login details, contact details, workspace membership information, billing references, support messages, legal acceptance records, device and browser data, IP address, security events, product usage events and communications preferences.

3. Customer Data, URLs and snapshots

When you use the Service, you may submit source URLs, target URLs, expected anchors, link attributes, tags, notes, costs, client labels, project names, exports and report data. Monitoring may generate check results, technical observations, HTML snapshots, parsed page data, screenshots or evidence records.

Some submitted data may identify people, organisations or clients depending on what you add. You should avoid adding unnecessary personal data, credentials, private documents, secrets or sensitive information to projects or notes.

4. Payments and billing data

Payments, subscriptions and checkout sessions are processed by Stripe. We may store Stripe customer IDs, subscription IDs, price IDs, invoice references, billing status and related metadata. We do not intentionally store full card numbers in Backlink Monitors.

5. How we use data

We use data to provide the Service, run monitoring checks, store snapshots, produce alerts and reports, manage accounts and workspaces, process payments, record legal acceptance, respond to support requests, secure the platform, detect abuse, improve the product and comply with legal obligations.

6. Legal bases

Depending on the context, we process personal data to perform a contract, pursue legitimate interests, comply with legal obligations or based on consent where required.

7. Sharing and subprocessors

We may use hosting, storage, CDN, database, email, analytics, payment, security, logging, alert delivery and support providers. This may include providers used for infrastructure, object storage such as Cloudflare R2 or equivalent storage, payment processing through Stripe, and notification channels such as Telegram, email, Slack or WhatsApp where configured.

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data where required by law, to protect rights, to investigate abuse or in connection with a business transfer.

8. International transfers

Where data is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards where required, such as contractual protections, transfer mechanisms or service providers with recognised compliance frameworks.

9. Retention

We keep data only as long as reasonably needed for the Service, account management, billing, security, legal compliance, dispute handling, backups and support. Project data, snapshots and exports may be deleted or retained according to product controls, plan limits, retention settings or operational requirements.

10. Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect data, including HTTPS, access controls, role-based workspace access, secure configuration, monitoring and operational safeguards. No service can guarantee absolute security.

11. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or port personal data, and to complain to a data protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

12. Cookies and tracking

Cookies and similar technologies are described in the Cookie Policy. Essential cookies support login, security, legal acceptance, billing flows and site operation; optional cookies may support analytics or marketing where enabled.

13. Business customer processing

Where we process personal data on behalf of a business customer, that customer is responsible for lawful instructions, notices and permissions. A data processing agreement may be made available where required.
